Terms and Conditions of Privacy/Proxy Services

What is a Privacy Service?

A Privacy/Proxy Service, also known as Domain Privacy Protection or WHOIS Privacy, protects domain owners' personal information from being publicly accessible in the WHOIS database. When you register a domain, your personal information (such as name, address, phone number, and email) is typically entered into the WHOIS database, which can be accessed by anyone. This can lead to unwanted solicitations, spam, and potential privacy issues.

How Does the Privacy Service Work?

007Names’s Privacy (P/P) Service is an optional service available only to our domain registration customers. Once you subscribe the Privacy service for your domain, 007names.com will act as the ‘Care Of’ entity of the domain, replacing your domain’s public WHOIS data with 007names.com's contact information. This includes 007names.com's full address, phone number, and fax number, but not your email address. Your privacy-serviced domain will carry an address like ‘yourdomain@privateregistrant.com,’ and any legitimate communications related to the domain will be automatically forwarded to your privacy email.

You have full control over removing the P/P service from your P/P subscribed domain at any time during the P/P registration period by clicking the ‘Off’ button. Once you remove the P/P service or fail to renew it, your domain’s WHOIS data will revert to your personal information.
